OUR PASSIONS
From our home to your home...
We've spent over 15 years roasting coffee, foraging roasting blogs and coffee-related sites, and visiting local coffee shops to strive for the perfect cup of coffee. What brings us the most joy is sharing that cup of coffee with our neighbors and friends. While there are now several respectable coffee roasters in San Diego County providing fantastic coffees, we feel we have something unique to share. We roast each small batch in a fluid bed (air) roaster using our senses (and plenty of data logging and analysis) to create the perfect roast for each lot of coffee. Our roaster is energy efficient and is offset by solar power on site. We roast as a small business at our home under the CA cottage food law. It is humble beginnings but we are dreaming big and we look forward to evolving and growing into a company that can contribute and offer value to our community.
Our beans...
We acquire beans from importers that care about rewarding farmers with a fair price for quality and sustainability. We buy beans that stand out for their sweetness and their unique origin flavors without compromising the essential "coffee" aromas and tastes that have made coffee so familiar and wonderful to each of you over the years. Buying green coffee has opened our eyes to many rural coffee farming communities that have minimal resources and many basic health and welfare challenges. We are excited to partner with coffee importers that have relationships with these farmers and that reward the farmers with a high price for quality coffee with each harvest. We believe the best way we can support coffee farms is by buying incredible coffees from the importers that work directly with specialty coffee farmers.
Our roasting...
We produce light-medium roasts. We experiment and profile each lot we receive to find what we think is the coffee's full potential for you. We feel our fluid bed roasting technique draws refreshing, clean and sweet attributes to each coffee that you will enjoy day to day. We hope you agree!
